hi.
ive been looking at one of these for a cheap sm for messing about on. the one iv seen is a 2000 bike with 24,000km on it. it looks ok in the pics but its quite far away so i havent been to look at it. i know it has short service intervals but thats where my knowledge ends....

has anyone got any experience of these?
what are they worth roughly?
any other sugestions?

oh, and i know theres a thread from me about 18months ago mentioning one of these but theres no specific info on the actual bike in it so thats why i've made another

If you want a Supermoto, look for the SM610S. It's exactly the same bike, with different colour panels and SM wheels as standard. Slightly less likely to be battered as it won't have been ragged about/crashed off road.

I had one last year for a few months. Great fun for short trips. Not quick above about 80mph. It's more like a big DR-Z400 than a competitor to something like the KTM640SM, or the more focused Huskies of later generations, so it's not a bonkers wheelie machine if that's what you're after.

Build is pretty good, and they're well specced. I had a few electrical niggles, but nothing that wasn't easy to fix.

What are they worth? About £1400 for an earlier one in decent nick. £2500 for a mint 2004/2005 one.

thanks alex.
i have a zx6r for big rideouts and a gas gas ec for off road. i just want something cheap and fun that i dont have to worry about damageing farings e.c.t with, and that i can have a quick hours fun ride to chill out after a day at work
