hi cheers for looking

ive been looking on ebay for a super cheap hack to commute to work on.

and seen a honda c90 close ish to me for 220.
one month tax and mot.

is there anything to look for on this bike when going?
i only bought one bike before and not mechanically minded so any hints tips are very very welcome.

on a really tight budget too!!

Look for rust everywhere.
Usual MOT things.
Too much play in the front wheel (even with a new rebuild kit ours was rather wobbly - but was the fault of the rebuild kit I suspect.)
It's going to be getting through the MOT I'd worry about, so print off a list of MOT checks and basically run through it yourself.

Tell the guy, if he MOT's it, you'll happily buy it and pay for the MOT, if it fails, walk away.

you do have to wonder in cases like that, with tax at fifteen quid and a 12 month MOT worth its weight in people walking up and saying "i'll take it" - even when you've jacked the price up £60 to cover them - why it's only got a month to run for both... Mr. Green

You do have to wonder, in cases like that, why you'd reply to a post that's over 2/3rds of a year old Razz.

Let's just say I must have been in a right old mental state a couple nights back and am now having a good cringe reading them back!

I'll address it properly in a bit Rolling Eyes

EDIT - yeah I have no idea, but must have been linked to it from somewhere. Does one of the main boards get so little traffic that there'd be 6+ month old posts still on the first page of the index?
