GS125 ftw.

In all seriousness, any 4t 125 will be pretty reliable post 2000. So long as you get a proper branded one e.g. yamaha, honda, suzuki etc.

The more sporty looking, the more expensive/un reliable they tend to be.

Like rob said, ybr, cg, gs, all fairly common.

Honda CB125TD-C........
Click a link and have a shuft at webby...
125's are good for two things, getting to work, or getting a licence.
And if you want a 4T, forget stuff with knobbly tyres, fancy fairings, or lots of chrome...
If that's your bag, get a commuter, get your licence.
Then you can go look for something with knoblies, fairings or chrome, with a bigger 4T or 2T engine, which will be a hell of a lot more fun, and becouse its bigger possibly less thrashed, and becouse its not a 125, and not had however many numpty owners making clumsy gear-changes, burning clutches out, not knowing the chain needs tensioning, or sprokets replacing, and having some daft idea that you can find loads more power knocking a washer out the exhaust... Should prove a tad more reliable....
You get a LOT more bike for your money if you have a ticket to ride....
So, don't be too choosey looking for a 125.... just get whatever will get you your licence, THEN go choose the bike you REALLY want!
If you want a good post-test dirt donk to ponder, theres plenty out there, and the venerable old Suzuki DR350 would be your bench-mark bike... and you'd pick up a pretty good example for the price of a fairly ropey DT125.....

Agreed, cheap and cheerful and that gives you more to spend on lessons/test and a cheap 400/whatever to get you started.
