Didnt want to hijack MinhDinh's thread so I thought I would ask it here.
Heard a couple of months back on here that they were gonna convert the two tests into one costing ~£80 in September?
Is that still happening? If so where does it say or is it completely wrong?
Reason being Im taking my test in December and if I fail on say my U turn then its another ~£80 even if I got everything right...
Thanks ____________________ Rusty '02 Vito Camper + CBR600F3 |

8 months to practice your U-turn? C'mon man. It's not that hard. ____________________ Willson - "If you go out on that CBR600 in the winter, you're going to do more miles on your side than on your wheels."

Hmm, I guess I could practise. Didnt say I would fail on that though I meant anything would cost you lots of
And on the note of doing u-turns, my bars have unbelievably bad amount of turn on them. They have the same amount as a sportsbike ____________________ Rusty '02 Vito Camper + CBR600F3 |

The DfT is still in a consultation / trial phase. There's no date for getting rid of the Mod1 and no firm plan for what to replace it with. It might be back to a single on-road test, or there may be an off road assessment of the slow speed stuff by a Local DSA Examiner For Local People using training schools' CBT facilities rather than DSA test sites.
Either way, the DfT hasn't committed to anything yet, and don't underestimate the POWAH of the Europedants when it comes to that 50kph requirement. Remember, we're moving towards a single European license, and it may only take one smeghead to start quoting Space Corps Directives at Brussels to ruin it for everyone. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
