Kawasaki ZX6R G1 1998 FIRE CRACKER RED
Yours for £1000
The bike is originally a G model, which is a single lens, I face lifted the bike a few years ago to the J model as I didnt find that one light gave me enough light at night, during the conversion I also replaced the G model speedo with the much nicer J model speedo and fitted HID Projectors, which increase the light on the road MASSIVELY! The projectors are fully legal and have passed 2 MOT's, they also have very attractive white Angel Eyes, these are operated in place of the side light (the small light meant for using during the day or near dusk) they look phenominal when in use and give the bike a very aggresive look.
The exhaust is a modified version of the original exhaust and is VERY loud, if its not to your taste then it could be changed very easily, its a 3 minute job. Though it does sound incredible, it sounds very in tune and going up the rev range unleashs the true sound of the engine, unlike most exhausts it doesnt sound like a wet fart, or a pathetic attempt to scare grannies.
MOT until 14th September 2011
Tax until 30th April 2011
Nosecone and Lights from a J model
HID Bi Xenon Projectors
Clockset from a J model
Crash Bungs on side fairings
Black Tinted Screen
It is running on NGK Iridium spark plugs
It has a BMC filter.
It has a Dynojet Stage 1 kit fitted
The carbs were stripped, ultrasonic cleaned, rebuilt and then balanced in August.
The spark plugs were checked for gapping in August.
The front and rear calipers were stripped, ultrasonic cleaned, red rubber greased, and then rebuilt with new seals and fresh brake fluid in August.
The pads were replaced all round at the same time as the caliper servicing. (August)
The oil was changed along with a K&N oil filter in July.
The chain and sprockets are Afam and were replaced approx 7k miles ago.
It has a scottoiler fitted.
The coolant was replaced last year.
The tyres are Avon Storms and are about three quarters through their life.
Engine has done 22k miles
Comes with a Haynes manual
Sold with a FULL tank of petrol
It was put onto a dyno machine a while ago and produced 103bhp at the wheel!
The only negative points are, the headlight is bonded to the nose cone, see pics, there are some scuffs to the frame from removing the tank on the left side, and the air intakes are missing there covers (couldnt find any to buy when I did the conversion)
I have a whole stockpile of parts that Ive been collecting so as to be able to keep this bike running for decades, now that its for sale, they are too. If there is something you want, let me know and I will bundle it with the bike when you come to collect for cheaper than you will find anywhere.
Due to the clockset/speedo being changed they do not show the exact bikes mileage. The original clockset was taken off at 35k miles and the engine was removed too (see my other listings), the replacement clockset and engine was fitted, showing just over 9k miles, which matched the engine that was fitted into it at the same time (I have the reciept for the engine with the miles specified)
Bike is in Yeovil, Somerset.
