I don't know if it's normal, but it sprouts up quite quickly now.
It's only surface stuff, so comes off with the thumb nail quite easily, and there doesn't seem to be any damage, but it comes back the following week!
If it rains on the way to work, obviously it gets wet, but it stays in a multi story car park at work, and stays under the carport at home, so it's not constantly getting wet.
Is there anything I can do to help prevent this? Is there some Kind of coat that may have come off? ____________________ Previously owned: Kawasaki KH125, Suzuki GP125, Suzuki GX 125, Honda CB125 TDC '83, Honda ntv 600, Kawasaki ER5, Kawasaki ZZR600, Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

What bike is it? From your sig I'm guessing the CB125?
Most forks are lacquered and this takes on the pitted effect after years of weathering and abuse. I don't know what the CB125's forks are made of from that year but on my SV I just sanded down the lacquer to the bare aluminium and then gave them a polish with some autosol. Look spot on now and the lacquer won't mark again because obviously it's no longer there. |

Aaahh thanks you, I shall give this a try
Shame really, because the rest of the bike is spot on, even after me owning it! But I've always wanted one of these, and love it, so I tend to love it more than the other half
