hey i have a peugeot speedfight 100 2001 the variator nut keeps undoing i dnt no wat it is tht makes it undo i put it all together and try starting it and it run and thn when i when to do it again it was off again im doing it to 40nm and i brought a new nut i was just wondering why is there somethink hold it still or wat help me please

Variator nut to 40nm? They're meant to be impact ratchet-ed on, and I'm sure that's higher than 40nm. Not doing it correctly causes serious damage, I wrecked a whole 120quid Polini 9 roller variator kit on my old aerox within 20 minutes because of not tightening it correctly., chewed the belt and shredded both halves of the variator. Just take it to a local workshop and say "Hey, I'll chuck ya a few bob to tighten this up" =P
