Any tips for riding in hail? Got caught in some today so just treated it like rain but not sure if there's anything else that can be done to make it easier other than stop for a brew Smile

Got caught today. Noisy and stingy on the neck. I slowed down...good job cos they were covering the road after 2 mins.
5 mins later i am blinded by sun.
The battle between winter and spring has begun.

I was giving the bike a quick test run around the block...which turned into my test-route.

Excuses excuses.

I got a free tube while at the Brighton burn up and if I'm out on the bike its around my neck. Makes one hell of a difference. I wont leave home without it now.

Hail?
I thought at first this was some-one using the latin formal to greet-us all and introduce themselves on the newbie board.....
Then I saw 'Riding in Hail'....
and my confudled brain though, "Where's that then? Is it in Yorkshire? One of the rougher parts of Leeds perhaps........"
If so, best advice probably avoid it, of if stuck DONT ask one of the ladies walking the street for directions..... especially if you have been round the block a couple of times (as she no doubt will have done too!) Excuse your lost WONT wash in a court of law..... alledgedly!
