Hello,

After repairing a Puncture on my Yamaha RXS, I found riding about feel extremely slippery; Almost as if I'm on a flat tire.

Its dis concerning as the one thing I loved about the bike was its ability to go into corners without feeling like the bikes slipping from beneath me.

The only other change is new chain adjusters as the previous were corroding badly.

It doesn't seem to make any sense, could wheel alignment make the bike feel this bad?

Other than that, I can only think maybe the rim damaged the tire walls when the puncture occurred?

What do you people think?

Thanks, Shamen.

Tyre bead not seated in wheel properly ?
Edit- ^ I'm assuming you've had the tyre off ^..... ( & Yes It could be alignment ) .

Ive checked the tire bead is seated and its all fine, also properly inflated.

I thought that an un-balanced rear wheel would only create wheel vibration?

Problem being with alignment is that the new chain adjusters have no markings on them so I have to adjust them via tape measure.

Well there is only 1 spacer, that i removed for the repair.

The chain/sprocket all stayed on the bike as the wheel pulls away due to it using a cush rubber system to enable some sprocket dampening.

The whole problem seems illogical. Its just virtually unrideabe. You know that feeling when the back end is slipping round a corner on a wet day? its like that all the time.

Have you got the tyre on round the right way (if it's one with a rotation arrow)? Can you post a pic of the back end, standing behind the bike? Might help clear things up.

this is screaming alignment issue to me. An badly aligned rear wheel will feel like its slipping out from under you the whole time, especially when you give it some power.
