Well, after 6 years of biking, I finally had a spill this morning. Was going past the Bournemouth International Centre this morning. Sun right in my face on wet road.

A car in front of me. Bus pulled out without looking, car slams his brakes on - as do I. Lose it completely, tank slapping away and throw the bike down the road while I end up on my arse having twisted my ankle. Didn't hit anyone - missed the car in front by millimetres. He stopped and called 999. The bus was oblivious and carried on its merry way....

Damage to bike mostly on left side - smashed indicator, cracked crank case, broken and cracked front and tail fairing. It's with the crash repairers now.

No broken bones, no blood = result. Ankle very sore, especially when I move, but hey, I feel very lucky Smile

So there you go. Thought I'd better report! Am I real biker now?

2004 Bandit S. Feel very sorry for it - it has been so dependable, all through three winters....... *sigh*

On the plus side I get to sit down a lot and pretend that the crutches they gave me at the hospital are a rifle Very Happy

Agreed Thumbs Up

Shame about the casing though cos you could actually ride it with the rest (by the way it sounds? Confused)

12 or 6 btw?

Did you just twist your ankle or sprained it?
