CG125 - Cutting out?

Hello people

I just went out to get the Cg ticking over for a few mins, keep the fuel flowing etc, and it seemed perfectly fine...

However *SHOCK HORROR* when i pulled the throttle back (in first), quickly (not like snapping it, just pretty fast) - the engine stuttered for a second then cut out. I'm wondering what could be causing it? And I am literally as noobish at mechanics as you can possibly be! Although I am really willing to learn everything I can.

It's a 1992 (i think!) Brazil model if it helps, thanks very much

mine usually does this,put the choke on half then ride away..

then once the bikes gone for about 5 mins switch the choke off
