Hi,
I've a K3 GS500e and I'm trying to work out how the bar ends work. I have:

I would expect part 14 and 13 to squeeze together but there's nothing holding part 14, so it just spins in the bar.
Is there an after market solution, since the rubber is in a bad shape anyway.
for help and ideas. ____________________ TheShaggyDA: I've got 3 or 4 pairs that predate my wife, so at least 11.5 years old. |

Best way is to snug the bolt up a bit until the nut (14) is just catching on the rubber, slide it all into the bar then tighten it up to grip. The nut should be a nice loose fit on the bolt so it turns easily and then the rubber grips the nut harder and spreads as you tighten. If the nut is a tight fit on the bolt or the rubber is worn/perished then you have problems. Other Suzukis have a longer metal bush(13) and a washer to help crush/spread the rubber.
This is a Bandit one
