It's ACF50.

It's only really worth doing on chrome and also before winter. I wouldn't bother otherwise.

It's not so much just for winter, but personally I cover my bike in it in the winter and wash it off once the road salt clears. You can't really wash the bike with the ACF50 on or you'll end up taking it off. It's more of a case of just hosing it down.I would just wash your bike reasonably regularly and ACF50 it for the winter.

Although, as I said, if your bike is covered in chrome then it is definately worth getting anyway.

Also, if it's a chinese bike then ACF50 everything regardless of salt on the roads etc.

One tip I have is that paraffin is amazing stuff for cleaning the bike as it gets all the muck off. You'll need to relube things once you're done washing the bike though.

Well, in regards to keeping it clean and maintained you could find what you need for most things via Opie Oils and if you register with them you get a discount for being registered member of BikeChatForum. They also have regular promotions sent via e-mail.

After googling on bike cleaning, I came across some videos on Youtube that are pretty good, they basically use:

* WD-40 or similar all over the bike.
* A soft brush like the kind which comes with a bottle of "Wonder Wheels" to apply the WD-40, a small soft paintbrush is probably a good alternative.
* Powerwasher to blow the thick off then.
* Wash and Wax applied with woolen mitten/sponge.
* Powerwasher to spray clean.
* Microfibre cloths to dry and shine.

Finally regrease chain, and spray your ACF-50 & Silicone to protect and lubricate essential areas.

I personally bought Turtlewax and microfibres from Costco as they're doing a bulk 25L turtlewax and 36 microfibre cloths, think it came to less than £30 and will keep me going for ages.

Done this a few times now with awesome showroom results.

Not sure to be honest I only go there once in a blue moon, pretty good for car stuff and was there recently for the above.

If by clothing you mean motorcycle related, then the only thing I've seen are thermal base layers, but this was a while ago and I couldn't comment on which brand they were. Will have a look for you next time I'm in.

Well, thanks as I used to be a member of them a while ago and Kirland jeans were almost as good as Levis, but I do miss Kirkland's Tortilla chips as they are so GOOD and they come in BIG bags!

thanks again!
