 |
|
Hi, my 600 radian runs like a pig, last week when I tried it I could only get it to run on half choke,it would rev fine at this and was ridable, my first thought though was stale petrol. During the week I drained off the petrol and put in some fresh, it still runs crap but will hit legal limits quite easily again on half choke, I've had the carbs off and blown everything out used a can of carb cleaner up the various jets. All the plugs are sparking, just ordered a set off e-bay though so I'll be fitting these soon. I have to take the carbs off again though as No1 is flooding, let me tell you this is as bad as taking carbs off the hinckley triumphs. There is plenty of compression does not appear to be any leaks on the inlets, and the bike starts very easily on full choke from cold.I've removed the fuel tap from the tank and that is clear. I'm still leaning towards the carbs and will strip these again if the plugs make no difference, any other ideas anyone? ____________________ 40 years on the road on and sometimes off bikes with a very recent OFF |

The saga continues, since the last update I have fitted new carb intake rubbers, £45 ish from the us via ebay for the set of four. The carbs have been on and off more than a brides nighty, and still problems exist. I must be getting close though (he said through clenched teeth) it will idle without choke. I've had a few test runs today, it runs great at higher speeds, 70mph pulls like a train. I popped in the colour tune and the mixture looks ok at idle but try to open the throttle and it just wants to die. I'll try opening the pilot mixture screws tomorrow get them rich and see if that helps. ____________________ 40 years on the road on and sometimes off bikes with a very recent OFF |
