Advise on selling a bike

I have a Diversion i was planning to keep as a 2nd bike however due to space and time I have decided to flog it and put it towards to a Thundercat.

However there is a hole in the exhaust between the downpipe and the can.

Unable to get this fixed myself or know anyone that can do it for me.

So do i keep the price higher and then wait for the knock down and harder job to sell or sell it cheap ie take the price for a replacement part 2nd hand or what have you off the sale price ie £100 or so?

Or do i fork out the extra money on a new one and put the price up?

Stick it on ebay, be completely honest, put pictures of all damage and someone with the capability of fixing it will bid. Put a price up which you think the bike is worth. Not what you'd want for the bike in an ideal world, but what you think it is worth as it is now.

Common problem on divvys. Can be bodged with some tin cans and exhaust sealer. (you need to see what mine looks like ) Laughing

Other option is take the exhaust off and fit a new one. But you are looking at a couple of hundred quid to do that. Which you won't get back in the sale price.

I hope that link is to the bike when you bought it and not what you are selling it at now.....

bodge the exhaust with "quik steel", which is actually very good stuff and may last a long time, then spray it over with some aluminium silver paint
