I have a 1975 MZ ES150/1 that is in need of a high quality total engine rebuild. Do any of you know a professional, reliable engine re-builder?

Thanks in advance.

Stan Stephens is the one and only, but I know for a fact he has a strong dislike of MZ's.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

What about PJME?

Had a rebore done with them and the service was good.

No idea what they're like with rebuilds though.

They are yamaha specialists though.

The other option of course is Burwins in London. They are MZ specialists, and more likely to be able to get parts I guess.

Im having my KMX engine tuning work done by either BDK racing or JK tuning. Both companies are quite approachable and friendly unlike many of the famous name 2stroke tuning firms.

I agree with Marjay that it can sometimes be best to find a tuner that has a decent interest in or experience of the make of bike that that you want re-built. I happen to know that years ago James at BDK had a very tuned KMX200, and he knows exactly what is needed to get one to go really well.
