Missing Taskbar

I've lost my Taskbar and it's a bloomin nuisance. I've tried a few things that I found when googling the prob with no success. Anyone else had this? I'm running W7 Ult.

Move your mouse pointer to the edges of the screen - if it changes to a double arrow, click and drag the taskbar back out.

It can not be removed without using a third part app.

I will be hiding on one of the screen sides with auto hide or as above pointer to the side will change to arrows and it can be dragged

I think he means the Windows key on the keyboard mate

I've tried changing Task bar position from bottom to top, the windows button moved but te taskbar is still withpout tabs, tools etc????

Could it be something to do with screen settings - resolution etc. I tried runnimng C&C generals recently, b with no success, could it be that?

control panel > taskbar and start menu.

See if you can change any settings on there to get it back.

Edit, just saw you moved from bottom to top, so probably been there already.

Something else that might help - when I Restore Down a window and drag it anywhere near the edge of the screen, that window turns light blue and self restores if I release the mouse button.

Hope that makes sense.

OK, played about with a few things, uninstaled C&C and Virus Guard and the Taskbar is back - yipeeee! Having said that, it came and went before.
