I'm looking for a good book about motorbike care and handling. Since I'll be getting my first bike soon I'll need some help on how to maintain it.

Any good ones that you know?

Well Haynes do a basic Motorcycle Mechanics book.

Go to any good motorbike shop and they should have one, not sure of the price though.

Mike.

Haynes Motorcycle Basics Techbook is ace, easy to understand and pretty comprehensive

they do other books, about basic looking after your machine but ive found them to be kind of teaching you to suck eggs to be honest

check their website, or halfords always seem to have a good range of haynes in

'Twist of the Wrist 2' is slightly more road biased, though I believe it covers a lot of the same topics, and it mostly relating to track riding.
I would definitely reccomend it as an excellent book to get to know how and why your bike goes fast and the best ways to do so.

For fast, but 'safe' road riding 'Motorcycle Roadcraft: police rider's handbook to better motorcycling' is very good.
