I have got to a stage where the fitting instructions say to test the wires each side of a given fuse to find which is live. One is thick and brown, one is thin and brown/white. Bike is ER6F and wiring diagram is

from a quick glance the brown wire goes to the ignition, so I would assume that would be your live
