Hello people!

I have a Derbi X-Treme 50cc bike on a 58 plate. I am looking at buying a Doppler ER1 exhaust but have no idea how to de-restrict it! A friend of mine said he will fit and up-jet it for free but isn't sure how to de-restrict it. So any help on how to de-restrict it would be much appreciated!

My bike is already de-restricted but has the standard pipe on it so the pipe is all that will need de-restricting. Also, before you ask, I would take it to a garage however they are all asking for around £82 to fit, upjet and de-restrict it! The pipe alone is about £140 so I can't afford the service costs with the job I have as being only a teenager!

Any help would be much appreciated! Many thanks, Andrew12115

There will be a cone in the exhaust where it joins to the engine. You can remove it by drilling the spot weld out and pulling it out. Be very carefull that you don't damage the exhaust and make shure you clean up the inside of the pipe after.
