Hi all,

I have now sold the CR and my CBF to make way my for my latest purchase. I am after something road legal that I can take green laning and am planning to have a go at a couple of enduros too. The thing is I am still motocrossing every other weekend and thus will need something that I can play about on at the track. I am not interested in racing MX, I just go there for a bit of fun.

I really am not too sure if there is a bike out there that will cope with all of the above. I have been looking at the CRF 250 X but have has some conflicting advice r.e service intervals and suitability etc.

The other option would be to make a CRF250r road legal and use that? But I think it may be too highly strung for any road work/green laning. I dont wan't anything like an XR as they are slow, heavy and really not suitable for a MX track.

I know the best option is to buy a mx and then a seperate enduro style bike but I have enough bikes and would ideally like something that would do everything.

Help!

Thanks everyone,
Damon

I'd say 2 stroke enduro all the way - similar weight to the bigger 4 stroke motocross bikes, but less maitenance than any 4 stroke competition bike. Suspension can handle motocross better than the 4 stroke stuff generally is the considered opinion. They should also be a little more flickable thanks to reduced rotational inertia compared to the heavier high revving 4 strokes.
You do lose out on engine braking, but you gain in fun Very Happy

EC250 or 250 EXC, more top end focussed than the 300s, change th gearing for mx if you feel the need.

Job's a goodun Very Happy
