Hi all, I have a 2004 RS 125 that I bought last November. Its got just over 13 000 km's on the clock. Just replaced the power valve as it was seized and broke when attempting to take it out. Also did a full service! I dont know much bout the mechanical side of bikes so I'm relying a lot on my Aprilia dealer. I have noticed though that the bike being a 2-stroke revs un evenly but also makes a terrible vibrating type noise when riden at low speed! is this because i ride it at low revs or might there be a fault somewhere?? the sound is clunky! sounds like the fairing almost hitting against something even though it seems fine and in place! Also the bike likes to jump out of gear, I will change and it'll go and then all of a sudden jump out of gear and obviously revving out of control!! I know the bike rides very rough as it is a 2-stroke and it likes the revs kept high. Maybe not the bike for someone who does'nt know much about bikes and would rather want a smoother 4-stroke maybe?? It is good fun though!! Mr. Green

Can adjust the actual rod between gear selector and the actual shaft it sits on.
Mines been doing this, just hit it in harder when changing gear

If you are trying to ride it at 2krpm through town, then yes it will vibrate like hell. They love the power band, so once its warmed, keep it in there where possible, with maybe a gear higher or 2 for cruising.

With the jump out, just kick the shifter harder. My 50 did that if I was a woss with the lever.

Have a look on you tube videos of people riding RS125's. It will show you where to keep the revs while riding.

Have you ridden a 4stroke before?

My RS, It lives between 6 and 7k for just riding round... above that power starts coming in fast.
