Just wondering why is it that makes most movie directors lean towards Harley Davidson. Last three movies that I watched involving bikes were Captain America, Tron and Green Hornet. Apart from tron, every movie used custom Harley's.

Strange; most bikes I seem to spot in movies are Kawasaki Z1000's; the old CHiP's patrol bike, or Honda XR600's... one often becoming the other for jump stunts! More curiousely they over dub four-stroke Honda XR engine noise with air-cooled Yamaha two-stroke noises, if they are actually playing themselves...

However, the answer to your question is...

Where are the movies from?
Where are Harley's made?
What is the most popular brand of motorcycle where the movies are made?

WHY, given the answers to the above; do so many films feature Triumph's, Ducati's or BMW's?

When you get to see the badge on the tank...

Honda's, Yamaha's & Suzuki's when you dont?

You should have said 'All SHIT movies feature H-D's'... except for Terminator 2, now THAT was a GOOD film.
Look at the Matrix, Ducati, I Robot, MV Agusta, Mission Imposs, Triumph (although they did have magic tyre changing wheels).
I really chortle at the Bollywood films, when the bad guy turns up on an H100 Honda, really extreme!

US sales by manufacturer. All of those companies invest huge amounts of money into R&D and sell bikes for close to what they cost to build... except one. Harley get their sales through being iconic and all american, and what better way is there to be iconic and all american than by appearing in movies?
