I've had this problem with the sound on my computer for a while now and I can't do anything about it. Well I don't know If I can is more like the case.

Ever since I formatted it, the sound has become more speeded up like the tempo has been put up. I was wondering If it could be anything to do with my sound driver?

It's becoming a right pain in the backside because everytime I download a song it comes out too fast. Sad

If anyone knows what the problem is and can help I'll be most grateful.

Cheers.

Have you tried reinstalling the driver?

I've got nothing to install. This isn't my computer but it would be nice to have the sound back to normal.

I've downloading a driver off the net but that didn't do anything.

I might have downloaded the wrong one.

By the way this isn't just affecting the sound, it's playing video clips faster too. Bloody computers! I give up with them.

cound it be a codec issue - maybe it's buggy.
I've got an annoying problem with Need for speed underground - it doesn't appear to have a frame rate limiter so really speeds up if i'm driving around smaller sections and i haven't set the graphics high enough-doh!

I've tried downloading and installing the right drivers but still the same problem is happening.

The sound card is an AC'97 and I'm running Windows ME.
All the drivers I've downloaded seem to be the same one's that I've already got.

Maybe the one's I have now are for Windows 98. I've tried to uninstall ME but I can't find anything that says I can uninstall it.

Anyone know how I can uninstall it? It's not on the Add/Remove Programs list.

Does this only happen in one player? If it does then Milo is probably right.

Try downloading the latest version of media player.
