Quick SORN question...
I need to register my bike as SORN but I didn't bother earlier in the year when I first bought it (I know, I know). Anyway, if I register my bike as SORN now, could I get away with backdating the form to 31st December to (presumably) avoid the new fine system? Or will it have to go to todays date, or the date I aquired the bike?

I think the document asks you when the vehicle was actually taken off the road.
If the bike has been off the road a while then put the 'back' date on it.

The form just says...
Date of commencement
Note: A declaration must be made as soon as the vehicle is taken off the road.
This vehicle will not be used or parked on a public road from this date...
stuff like that. ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F

Blue form, "V890" right?
I have one here for my 'other' car.
(Anyone want a car? '82 Fiesta. 1170cc. 'Buyer' collects - £20)
I would be tempted to put the original date it was taken off the road. Otherwise they might claim you owe them TAX for the dates missing. I don't know. Try ringing them?
