Well today I managed to fail my test. Rolling Eyes

I partly blame it on the fact that the examiner wasn't letting me take my time with anything. I did find out after that it was because his son was waiting for him at the test centre for a lift home. I came to a junction and simply lost my balance and had to put both feet down, annoying thing is I never did it on a lesson. I also missed a lifesaver on a roundabout just after I made the first mess up at a junction but I already knew that I'd failed so didn't care all that much. I got 4 minors as well but I don't care about them much since they didn't cause the guy to tick the fail box.

On the bright side summer is still quite far away so I aren't missing anything other than £48. Crying or Very sad

Sorry to hear that mate. Neutral

Look upon it as a learning experience, at least you'll know exactly what to expect next time. Any rider, no matter how good, has bad days. Good luck on the next one.

Argh don't worry Shaun..! I was very very nervous on my test and so forth failed twice before passing. I was find in lessons at times but as soon as I get an instructor/examiner behind me I ride like shite... So don't worry mate, don't give up and get back and do your test ASAP and maybe another days training or something before you forget the niggly bits like doing lifesavers. Get it done ASAP again and you won't have any problems!

Hi,

Shaun - Just a bit of advice, which I'm sure you've heard before. If you make any mistakes on your test, correct them safely. The examiner isn't really that bothered if you make a mistake. It's what you do after the mistake which he'll be interested in.

I wasn't aware that losing your balance at low speeds in a minor Question

Cheers,

Will

If you get an examiner on the wrong day he can and will fail you for any mistake. Even when I passed on my second time he was moaning about me 'changing position in the road too quickly'/similar bollocks.

Don't let it get you down Shaun, half the time it's not whether you can ride especially if the examiner is looking to fail you.

That was a bit harsh of him ! I put both my feet down when I took my test a few times so I could re-adjust my seating position on the bike and did not get any marks against me for it !

I'm going to book it again when I get paid at the end of the month, can't afford it or anything else for that matter until then. I'm not really annoyed that I failed but I'd just like to have my £48 back, he never even gave me the chance to bribe him, he was a bad examiner!

I'm happy for the bike to stay in my bike garden, if I was going to let someone take it out it would be someone who is licensed and not you Jay.

When you have the money try and get a cancellation date, hopefully that way you'll get in there much more quickly (and won't need any refresher lessons etc.)

I may have let you on my RS for about ten minutes but at least you were licensed to ride it. I'm not letting you on it for your own safety, wouldn't want you to hurt yourself. If you help me do the fork seal though I might let you have a go in the garden after. Very Happy

It may have been something to do with you climbing onto your pillion seat at about 50mph. It may just be the speeding but I doubt that. It is probably just me being mean since I haven't got to ride it properly yet and get a true feeling for it. Now, come fix my fork seal. Very Happy

That sounds like a good start.

Whats exactly is wrong with green? I like the colour it is currently in. No suggestions of bending the can so it goes straight either because it now has a straight can on it and I like the bent can, its loud.

Be careful if your stuck in traffic, they can fail you for 'not making progress' so if you can safely filter and don't you will get failed for it.

The bit I was at was full of buses and trucks, would have got flattened trying to filter. got to be careful how close you get to others in traffic though, as if you are to close, or move slowly and get well behind then you will get minors. I think I got 2 minors for getting a bit close in traffic.

Accutally you shouldn't filter in the test, if you do then most examiners will fail you for it.
