For some reason, recently my you-tube often (75% of the time)

(1) is "ghosty";
(2) does stupid half-screen stuff, with the bottom of the picture at the top, and the top of the picture at the bottom.
(3) has a series of green flourescent lines (about 7) at the bottom of the screen;

It never used to do it at all.
What's that all about, then?

I think I recently upgraded my Firefox

Bloody Mozilla, used to always be good: I also upgraded my Thunderbird and now nothing will "go out" when I try to send emails, grrr.

... and/or possibly I updated my java recently.

Is there anything I need to tweak to make my you tube work properly again?

One assumes so.
My FB games all still play (although one of them tends to hang quite badly for up to 5 minutes before loading properly)

I could download that I suppose, and see what happens.
Just to make sure, like.

Try updating your graphics drivers and also see how a different browser behaves with flash.

For some reason any youtube video's I watch on my Mac in Chrome skip and jump (started around 2 weeks ago), although the audio is fine and plays constantly, it's like the video feed is on a bad connection..

It plays fine in Safari, but Safari is crap so I don't use it.

All my software is up-to-date... Sad

I'm not sure if this works.
(This worked for some of youtube users)

Access below link
https://www.youtube.com/swf_test.html

right click on the movie picture
-> setting -> remove the "check" on hardware acceleration.

I dont have hardware acceleration on my mac.

However,

the SWF test video - works perfectly, no bumps or glitches in the video!

I watch the same video on youtube.com - bumps and glitches in the video!?
