Fight Night Champion.

So I picked a copy of this up on friday and just wondering what peoples opinions of it are. I quite enjoy it even though it has a few problems.

1) When searching for online games it some times freezes completely meaning I have to turn the xbox off and on again. I thought this was just my shitty xbox untill I noticed the FN forums are full of threads about it.

2) People who choose to level up one punch. They literally put all their points on one punch, tends to be the right hook for some reason. Means when you fight somebody whos roughly the same level as you they have a right hand Pacman would be proud of. They just button bash that one button and knock you out in seconds. It's quite hard to avoid because it only has to hit you once to fuck you up. I know it's upto them to pick and choose how they fight but it's just a bit crap really.

3) When you 'rock' somebody into red they do this really shitty thing of headbutting or lowblowing you. The ref stops the fight to deduct a point. Only problem is when he restarts it they aren't 'rocked' anymore and you have to do it all over again. This to me is just outright cheating. They need to either make it so it doesn't undo the 'rock', meaning headbutting/lowblowing would be pointless. Or make it so you can't headbutt/lowblow whilst your 'rocked'.

4) Buying xp packs. This is another pointless part of the game. Some people will play and play and play to earn xp. This is the way the game should be played. Others will buy xp meaning they can just have a hard hitting awesome fighter in seconds. This is gash.

5) I don't use the right analog stick, I can't remember what EA call it's function. I use the standard X,Y,A,B buttons. I feel this makes my punching more controlled, I can pick and choose specific punchs and combos. However using the buttons doesn't feel as fluid like as the analog stick does. I've tried to use the stick but it feels too much like button bashing.


Despite all of this shit I'm still really enjoying it. Can't wait for the first online Gym rival fights. However saying that we need a few more people in our Gym as we only have three.

Yeah bought the game too, not loving it too much at the moment think it plays a lot worse than its predecessors, especially the stick punch control.
