unlocking 3 phones

Bit of a caveman when it comes to mobiles so looking for a bit of advice - found a decent deal on a phone on the three website, can a brand new 3 pay as you go phone be unlocked to accept a contract sim from another network?? Is it just a case of taking it to the nearest little phone place and paying about a tenner like it used to be??

You can pay 3 fifteen-thirty big ones/quid and they give you the unlock code.
But you will still have the 3 logo when you switch the phone on.

Or go tto one of those pikeys in the market and they'll do it for 10/20 quids. Maybe.

Well... it is possible to unlock it yourself, but I wouldn't advise a novice to attempt it...

I'd personally ask a local phone shop or market stall if they can do it.
