This makes a complicated sequence of events understandable, but it's still fairly dry. Good if you like a lot of detail, but easy to lose the thread if you aren't concentrating. Still more accessible than a written account though.

Basically it comes down to not a matter of an evil conspiracy, or people failing to do their jobs. It comes down to incentives leading people to give a misleading impression, or a biased incorrect impression. All down the chain.

From the salesmen mis-selling loans to consumers, to the traders mis-selling those loans as tradeable commodities, to the insurance companies that would sell insurance against those loans going bad, to the ratings companies who got back handers for rating things as safe when they werent. The people who are supposed to protect us (or Americans anyway) who form regulatory policy are beneficiaries of the system so dont want to change it, but only those who have been on the inside know what's going on.

Here's a bit about the film

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inside_Job_(film)

and as long as you know how to work torrents, you can get it here in HD
https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6186230/Inside.Job.LiMiTED.720p.BluRay.x264-TWiZTED

It got 98% on rotten tomatoes website, which means 98% of film critics liked it.

What'cha gonna do about it? Very Happy

These series of crises insured that a world war of jubilee of debt write-off would be coming, either that, or 30 years of stagnation in the world, falling living standards & shortages in all essential commodities.

Make a pick. Smile

P.S. Third option would be a United World with a single currency, or a strict basket of several currencies, but I didn't list it at first, knowing the odds of it happening in peace time.

Linky ISPs have really cracked down on torrents so I just don't touch them anymore, megaupload is pretty fast too so I just use that. Still not watched the last one, watched a little bit, will do though.

Old Thread Alert!
