A little worried, can anybody help?

O.k so i got my Kmx 125 back after having a rebuild, and im at the running in phase...

Done 160 miles so far, done 100 miles at 4k.. and the other 60 between 4k and 5k and occasionally blipping up to 6k but not for very long...

So i was out today just cruising around enjoying the weather and noticed my bike started to splutter at around the 4k mark, if the bike is idling its fine and anything after 4k (5k) its fine, its just before the 4k mark that it starts to splutter, i have had a look at the spark plug and it seems fine, (dry coat of black stuff but not alot) gave it a clean and took the bike for a spin....Still spluttering Was running fine up untill now....

Also could it be my battery? as the bike was stood for so long, it may of lost its charge because my neutral light wont come on, and when i pull my my brake, the head light gets brighter, and also lights flicker slightly now and then...

What could this be?

Any help would be appreciated

Dont suppose your choke is sticking?

My RS has a sticky choke and it made my plug black...just ended up replacing the cable.

you're riding it too faggishly.
You're fine to take it above 6k now. Ride it as normal. It's a 2 stroke and they don'.t need that much of a run in.
