I've recently noticed there's a leak, where the exhaust meets the head.

It's a black sludge sort of liquid. (possibly an oil/water mixture)

I can see it spitting out when the engines on.

I thought it might be the gasket, but I need a 2nd opinion.

Taken a few pics of the area where the leak has occurred.

Aye, oil if it's a 2 stroke plus water and carbon left over from the combustion process.

Most likely. Usually an easy job to sort out but be careful with the exhaust studs at the head, they're prone to snapping.

Make sure you get the old gasket out and clean the mating surfaces.

heed this advice, its worth buying a torque wrench if you dont have one. check out the pics on the link below see what happened when i over tightened mine - looking at a new cylinder now.
