hi guys! quick question, couldn't find any other topics with this in it, so thought i'd post a new one.

i need a new left fork for my '89 NTV600 Revere - would the forks from a '96 NTV600 fit? Have googled, but to no avail!

Cheers in advance!

Roo

If Wemoto is anything to go by the fork stanchion is the same for all the NTVs (650 and 600). Don't take my word for it though...

Do you need a whole new fork or just the upper stantion?

You can buy parts of the fork individually.

iirc the 600 for is slightly longer than the 650. It does have different internals.

I need a whole new left fork, it's pishing out oil like nobody's business! Sorry I never replied quicker, been busy working and studying 16hrs a day, and sleeping for the rest of them! Smile

I've got the chance to buy a pair of forks for a '96 NTV for £30 [P+P inc] and wondered whether it'd be worth it? The right fork is apparently bent by 3mm, so not much use, but the left one is sound-o!

Reckon it'll be fine, or..?

Pissing out oil from where? If it is where the upper and lower stantions meet then you need a £5 fork seal rather than a whole new fork.

Pictures would help.

Nah, the fork is pitted, so new seals don't work. Have replaced the seals a couple times, but it's always had a wee leak. Apparently the other day it started leaking like hell, and it doesn't seem like the seal's damaged at all, especially since it's only a few months old. Sad

Then you just need a upper stantion and seal not a new fork.
