Derbi Cross City won't start

Wonder if anyone can help here, my Derbi Cross City 125cc won't start up this morning.
The bike was fine and after getting home I locked it back up in the garage.
Took the bike out this morning to goto work and the bike just won't start.

When I press the electronic ignition, you can here the relay on the starter motor clicking once. Then you will hear the low pitch wining noise and thats it. I don't know if the starter motor is dead or battery died. But lights, indicators horn all still work and the bike was brand new from 2009.

Any help would be appreicated....

Clicking is normally a sign that the battery is flat. Do you have an immobilzer on it ? My SP is a sh*t for that and i ended up having to leave the optimax on.

Have you tried bump starting it ?
Try charging it up and trying it then get a meter and start testing the electrics.

Thanks for the quick response guys, I haven't left the lights on. I think I will have to charge the battery first to check and trouble shoot..

It will bump start in 2nd gear really easily, even with an utterly dead battery. I know this because the other half has one and I had to scoot it along and start it after last winter.

A brisk 20 minute run and it was charged enough to start on the electrics from there on in.
