Today ste and me decided to get nitros for our bikes so im going to contact where I used to work and got my last kit to try to get the kits cheap.

If we get a few of us together we should be able to get the kits for £500 or less.

Bendy has already showed an interest and a few others are thinking about it.

If your interested let us know but you have got to come up with the money in advance.

When we get the kits we are all going to pile round ste`s and have a gas fitting day.

Yes you can. Only thing is yours is a tripple so I would have to look into a kit for that.

Wouldnt you need to have the head flowed, and other stuff done on a 600 engine before you could add nos?

I think I'll try the cheaper downgearing / Tuneboy option before I resort to nitrous though Kev, so I wouldn't worry about getting a kit for a triple. (I can't see many trumpet owners wanting 'em!) Very Happy

Interesting to know that it can work on FI bikes though. Smile

hmm. vx is an unstressed engine.. could probably survive NOS.. planning on going more fair weather anyway.

See what it could cost for a twin.

Kev, Ste and Bendy will not be expecting to put NOS on two strokes, especially small bore ones at that.

Ste has a zxr 6 and Bendy a CBR 6.

set up properly, a 2stroke is fine with NOS, it gets a bit dodgy when you are running insanely high compression and very high octane race fuels. With a progressive controler and a race crank shouldn't be a problem though.

Where you looking at getting your NOS kit from?

il be interested to see if/when anyone puts Nitrous on a zx6r, but i would wana see the results first, and secondly i dont want a big blue bottle strapped to the side of me bike, its not too subtle is it? I think if i had £600+ i would be looking for a full 4-1 system, and a gasflowed head, as im sure my zx would be as powerful as a 636 or the new CBR6R then. Im thinking of later this year just going for a road legal can, with a jet kit and filter, and a bit of dyno time, as that would waste quite enough cash for me!

I talked to Straightline racing about it, and they say its fine. It can handle they say 48bhp boost in total, which is a fair bit Twisted Evil .

When I get round to getting it, I'll stick the bottle under the seat so that it's not obvious that it's a nitrous bike Smile.

In most situations having a better rider on an older ZX6R against a new 636 or CBR600RR will be more of an advantage that the mods you list. Nitrous is just for eating anything alive in a straight line Twisted Evil
