Voted both, but usually go with just chain if there's something solid to chain it to, or just disk lock if there isn't.

Both road bikes have alarms, the triumph is in a locked garage the TDM outside.

My KTM is in the garage with a big ass chain.

What about a cover?

I have a chain + disc lock and cover.

Disc lock locks front of cover to front brake disc.

Chain goes through frame, and rear wheel before just barely reaching through the cover also.

I don't have anything solid to lock it to but having the locking mechanisms hidden under a thick cover means that they'd have to find a way of removing said cover before attacking the locks, then the steering lock and finally the immobiliser.

If its a lift and take, well they'd take it anyway.
