Honda sue Siemens Germany over design of ICE high speed train

Honda Motorcycle manufacturers have issued a statement through Reuters News Agency in Germany that it has instigated legal action against the giant German manufacturers Siemens(Ger) over the nose design of their high speed train the Inter City Express.(ICE)

Takanobu Ito, the President of Honda, gave a terse legal statement today at 11am 1/4/11.

"Citing the concept of Core competencies within Honda as an example,he argued that Honda's success was due to its focus on leadership in the technology of lightness and streamlining.

For example, the high power-to-weight ratio engines Honda produced for its racing bikes provided technology and expertise which was transferable into mopeds.
The streamlining for high speed motorcycles especially the CBR1100xx was transferable to other high speed ground based vehicles, in this case, locomotives.

The streamlining technology of the Honda CBR1100xx Blackbird has been pirated by this manufacturer against the design and manufacturing protocols signed in the 1999 and 2006 euro/EEC trade agreements."

"No agreement had been made to pass the streamlining technologies to Siemens and there was no trade agreement between Honda and Siemens(Ger)"

In his initial findings last August, the judge Heinrich Ottstard at Hamburgh international court sittings, laid open the case for Honda to proceed by stating that "The similarities are clear, and Seimens(Ger)are to be called to court in 2011 to answer what case they have.
Honda are justified in their claim, so are guided by the International design and patent treaty of 1998"

The Honda Blackbird of 1100cc was at one time the fastest motorcycle available, and at 180mph needed sophisticated aerodynamics to remain stable, the technology evolved by Honda research produced a very sleek, and economic shape, suitable for a variety of high speed ground transports.

...I also believe that Siemens are counter-suing Honda over their 24 wheel 119 tonne bike design as well!...the problem has been compounded by Honda as massive underpowering has also meant that calling it the HS125 sparked immediate confusion in and around Victoria! Very Happy

Forgive me for oversimplifying the issue here, but are Honda are suing Siemens because they also make pointy, sleek vehicles?
