I have been using a broker for my van insurance for the last couple of years but this year they have got on my tits. They know what I do for a living so why call me twice during my working day? I called them yesterday and there salesprick quoted me about £850 for fully comp, an increase of £300 on last year. I told him not to be stupid and give me a realistic price and he said that was it £850. He was told to do one and tonight I had a go on the Meerkats, £612 Very Happy

You're an old man now, more likely to have an accident, Maybe is time to hang up the keys. No more flat caps and taking the rover to church on Sunday for you.

Even that still seems a bit harsh for van insurance, presuming you've got some NCB etc Confused
I got my 7.5t race lorry insured under a specific race support vehicle policy with me only on a provisional and another insured driver for £600 (though now I've got my Cat C, going to get that refunded and get it covered through something else cheaper.)
Was £315 to get my LT35 LWB insured for four people before this.

Only 2 years NCB and I live in the inner city so we come up as high risk.
