I think it looks terrible, and is a massive step down from the NSR. Damn those euro emissions wankers.

To be honest, I would have thought you could buy a 2 stroke 125 for half that money that would out perform the cbr.

What's up with the width of the tyres and the mirrors? Confused

Just looking at it I don't believe it deserves to carry the CBR name. NSR is king.....of the learners bikes. I cannot wait to get my licence back in March so that I can ride mine again.

Only two months!!!!!

Yup, been posted a few times before. Do a search for 'CBR125' to get peoples opinions, specs. etc.

FLuX wrote:
also im just finishing off a 125 website and wondering if any 1 could provide me with sum pictures of it ? as i cant really find many Sad

Click here for images/specs etc. from the official Honda site. These are the only real images of the bike around at the moment, as it's not released yet.

You will be hard pushed to get that bike over 70mph. It only has around 13bhp.

That new CBR is going to be fucking slow Mad If you're seriously thinking of buying a one at all, let alone a new one then you need your fucking head examined IMO Shocked "100mph on the speedo" may look cool but when a bus is up your arse trying to overtake uphill - and your speedo needle is hovering over the 15mph mark then will you look so cool? I thinkety not Razz

First off it's slow. Secondly it's as ugly as a dog's turd. Thirdly it's just come out - so you'll have to spend a bit to get one. Need I go on?

Do yourself a favour and get Wingchunal's NSR.

Something about the headlights and screen remind me of the Varadero, the top part of the fairing that is. Got to say I think the NSR is a nicer looking learner machine.

it just looks so cheap and skanky, and its not at all sporty looking, looks very upright, kind of varadero kinda thing

do yourself a favour and get the varadero 125 if you are gonna get that, at least it has styling suited to it and decent tyres Razz

Compare the rear profiles of the NSR125 (left) and LS125 (right). I'm guessing the CBR125 will be a similar size to the LS...

..do you really want to be seen on that? Question

The LS 125 at least has a claimed 24hp.. enough to embarress quite a few 'performance' cars to 60, can't see a 4 stroke 125 doing that Smile.

I guess Honda had no real time to spend with this bike, all the work and design went in to the 600/1000 cbr's.

Firstly its ugly as sin,

Secondly just cos the clocks say 110mph, doesn't mean it will be any faster than a CG125.

And thirdly its ugly as sin.

The only redeeming feature is the price but I expect you can get a reasonable condition not too old NSR for the same money.

Honda have made a beam freamed CG125 with a bit of bodywork!! Smile

I spose it will sell to some kids that just want a new 125 for a year, and wont be keeping it after they pass their tests. There are alot more 4stroke 125's about today, and obviously fewer and fewer strokers, but for a 17 yr old that just wants a new bike to ride to college and back, thats cheapish to run for a year, it will have some appeal. Also there are people that dont like the noise/smell or the cost of keeping their bikes topped up with 2stroke oil, so i guess the CBR will appeal to those people in style and looks, more so than a CG or similar, and lets be honest alot of kids these days are having their brand new bikes brought for them by parents, so they would always pick a CBR over a CG, even if they are a huge waste of cash, and barely any quicker. From what i have seen alot of kids with 125's nowadays are more interested in getting a flash looking car, as their next step, rather than passing their test and having a big bike. A kid over my road had his brothers Vreg NSR for about a year, but he soon got rid of it when he/his parents went and got him a new MGZR!
