Hi
I did many years ago in a hurry on an XL100. Into a petrol station, first pump was 4*, next was 3* and I filled up the next one. That turned out to be diesel.
Spent ages waiting for it to drain out of the fuel tap. Gave up and turned the bike upside down to drain it through the filler into a bucket.
Got most of it out then filled with petrol. Did a great impression of a 2 stroke, with stuff all engine braking and lots of smoke.
All the best

Never done it, but a mate of mine used to run all his vehicles on the fuel they'd drained out of cars where people had put the wrong fuel in.
He used the stuff that was mostly petrol in his H100 and the stuff that was mostly diesel in his Escort van.
I can't see it would do much harm to a carbed bike. Drain it out and refill with petrol and it'll probably smoke for a bit. Probably more of a problem on an injected one, can't see it doing the various engine sensors much good. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. My old man managed to fill up his Pan European with diesel (full tank, was around £40 worth of diesel at the time)... Took a lot of time, and pissing about, but managed to get it drained, and then spent about £10-15 of petrol running the engine on its stand getting the engine back to a 'happy state' where it wouldn't chuck out smoke or make garble noises. fun times ____________________ Bike: Currently Bikeless... I haven't, but I did stop someone else from filling their bike with diesel. He was at the next pump along, I noticed he picked up the black nozzle. So I shouted are you sure it's diesel.
See him every now and again when I am out on my bike, and he has bought me a coffee or two at Rothbury. ____________________ Suzuki GSF600 K3 (in the fastest colour, black). |

I got half a tank of diesel into my CBR600 before I realised. It was a few years ago when BP first brought out the Ultimate branding. I was actually going for the super unleaded, but the pump nozzles were all the same colour (sort of purple and green) and I just grabbed the wrong one.
I thought about draining it, but it was the middle of the night and I couldn’t be arsed, so I just topped up with petrol and went on my way. It smoked like hell and smelt like a London taxi, but I was commuting 70 miles a day at that time so it was gone in a couple of days. It was all back to normal after the next fill up. ____________________ 2007 CBF1000 & 2016 CBF1000F - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |

I didn't exactly fill it but I put around a litre of the stuff in my Hornet's tank. Was out for a ride in Wales when I pulled into a BP garage, thought I should probably treat it to some nice fuel for once so picked the 'Ultimate' pump. Started filling when I noticed the very very tiny 'Diesel' written next to the word Ultimate.
Filled it with normal fuel, it coughed and spluttered and smoked but got me home just fine ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600
