Ask your local motorbike showroom
I know we managed to get a decent metal one when we had to ship a Ducati to Norway at work

It was like a metal tray with pallet truck/forklift pickup points , with a simple bolt together angle iron cage around it, diagonally braced
I know we strapped the bike down and IIRC it had a welded upright that the forks bolted to using the original spindle
We put plenty of cardboard round it and pallet wrap
It got there OK, but did take its time

I know a lot of smaller motorbikes /mopeds must come in cardboard boxes these days as we tend to get our local shops stuff (its handy for shipping our car parts, panels and whatnot in)

I will make enquiries if you get truly stuck

Regards
Rob

I was given free wood from a Japanese guy's yard and it was good stuff, so the crate was stronger than it would have been if based on pallets. Two 4" x 4" runners (gaps for the forklift), plywood plate nailed to that, runners on top, uprights screwed to them, cross-members and braces and tension-straps used once the bike was in to pull the crate in on itself, also using the bike itself as a stessed member to pull the crate out from itself too. It was a little wobbly until all the straps and side-plates and top were attatched. But it survived a trip in a truck from Kyoto to Kobe docks, four weeks at sea and unloading at this end.
