There is a lot of contempt for the law on this forum; the police are cunts, the DVLA are cunts.

Is this a biker thing, or this forum, or is the law really in contempt?

There are a few laws which are stupid.

There are so many reports of people who are supposed to uphold the law, abusing their power.

The DVLA, charge ridiculous prices for basic things which is not necessary. I don't know the full financial picture of the DVLA but charging more than £5 for a new v5 is just a fail.

BCF shows contempt for almost any flavour of law.

There would be a lot less rule breaking if the police and DVLA rewarded good behaviour with BCF karma blobs.

I think Mr Throttled is trying to stoke the fires here?

Mr Throttled have you never been at the recieving end of either of the two agencies you mention?.
Maybe some of us are cynical or narrow minded, or maybe we speak from BITTER experience.
Could it be that most people the police & DVLA deal with, they(the police & DVLA)make the assumption that they are criminal and wrong doers instead of someone who may of made a mistake.
Maybe it`s thier eagerness to prosecute that make so many of us think that they (the police & DVLA) are populated by C*NTS.
You confuse those two agencies with the law, neither one of them is the law, even though they might think they are.
Parliment and the courts are the law or at least that is what I am lead to believe by my peers.

I`ll get off my soapbox now and get back in my basket Embarassed Embarassed

The DVLA have apparently lost the new user supplement for one of my bikes. Their response to failing to provide a good service is to let me know that I will now have to pay £25 for a document that I am entitled to.

Want to guess at my opinion of the DVLA?

Don't say the GS. If it is, that bike is cursed by them.

Most people on the internet show contempt for pretty much everyone and everything. Some people are like that but most are experimenting with an online personality that they don't get to play with in "real life".

Watch this:
"You're a cock"

I never call people a cock in "real life" - they might hit me.

Mr Jonny's internet chin is made of titaniam. Unlike his real life one which is made of bone and bruises easily.

I think the only people who don't fully appreciate the distain the general public has for the police, are the police.

There seems to be an unspoken implication here that the police and the DVLA are not cunts. That is wild speculation and unless you produce some sort of evidence to back up your ill-informed opinion, I suggest you withdraw your opinion before you are lynched by public minded citizens.

Tagline of Wasting Police Time, a book written by a serving copper: This book will do more to put you off calling the police than anything except calling the police.

I'm law enforcement adjacent so least said and all that, but I'm pretty sure that Bobby Peel is spinning in his grave right now moaning "Policing relies on the consent of the policed. Connnnsennnnt!"

The DVLA is largely staffed by Taffies who couldn't get jobs in the Pot Noodle mines. Further comment superfluous.

The GS.

They returned the V62 with a letter explaining that I hadn't included payment. What really winds me up is that the staple that was holding the V62 and the supplement together was still in the V62.

Not really a problem, I'll just ride it through a few speed cameras, let the previous owner deal with it Wink

If you worked for the DVLA you would just do the admin work they told you, realise the institution is a joke, your bosses are probably c u nts, get your wage, go home, get some beers, chill out and trudge back to the grind like everyone else on the treadmill.

It's just another job, whether its for inefficient, retarded .gov bureaucracies or corporate criminals, it pays the wage that pays the bills, and lets you do what you wanna do. You'll probably always get the brown nosers and jobsworths, that will tell you how marvelous the institution is, and justify it at every opportunity, but that's no different than anywhere else.

Excellent book that!

"The loose screw" give a fairly decent insight into the prison system too, although having never been in anything more than the overnight cell at a station, I can't vouch for its accuracy.
