Hey guys I was wondering if anyone with experience or knowledge on the job can help me. I'm wanting to buy a Kymco KR sport 125 but it has no locks (no ignition, seat or fuel locks) I have been told by the person I'm buying it off (Dealer) that a Durbi 125 Lockset will fit and work. Could anyone tell me if this is true because I don't want to go through with it to not have a bike in the end! Thank you very much and hope to hear from you soon.

P.S the reason I'm not fitting a Kymco Lockset is because I can't find one thats for a KR Sport 125. But I don't know the product code, or if they use the same locks for another model. If they do please mention this as well!

Don't waste your money.

Seriously, buy a CG, YBR, EN, whatever, just don't buy a chinese bike.

Many posts like this will appear, take the advice Laughing

'Dealer' or 'Stealer'?
Why do it no have locks?
And WHY would a 'dealer' be selling something 'unfixed', if they could easily fit the locks they suggest, and flog it for full price?
I would walk away, a LONG way away!
Whether its a Chinky bike, Tiwanese bike, Jap bike, Italian bike, Spanish bike, or any other!

no idea if the derbi ones will fit... doubt it though.
chinesemotorcyclepartsonline will have lock-sets.
there actually not bad commuters, but get some lock tight & acf50.
but as stated above, if it was an easy/cheap fix, then the dealer would have done it already.,
cheers,
GAZ

The dealer sells bikes that insurance companies have writen off. The bike is Stolen/Recovered thats why it has no locks. But it also has other damage but i can sort that with spare parts.

Thanks for all the advise.

Are the chinese bikes not realiable or did it just sound dodgy???

Both.

Search for it on this forum and you'll find many MANY complaints and bad reviews about chinese bikes.

To be fair there are some decent ones, but a bike doing what it's supposed to do and not rusting to bits within a couple of years shouldn't really be looked at as a good point Laughing
