Hi,
I'm new to BCF, but not new to riding!
I've been doing a fair bit of exploring the UK, but I'm always looking for somewhere new to go - with a good twisty route to get there by.
Here's a list of the places I've already ticked off in the last year.
Whistlestop Cafe - Whitby
The Sun Inn - Norwood, nr Harrogate
Squires Milk Bar - Sherburn in Elmet
Seaways Cafe - Fridaythorpe
Penny Garth Cafe - Hawes
Old Police Station Cafe - Helmsley
Lord Stones Cafe - Carlton Bank nr Stokesley
Haven Arms - Havenside, Hull
Ponderosa Cafe - Horseshoe Pass, Denbigh
Lynn's Raven Cafe - Whitchurch, Shropshire
Midway Truckstop - Whitchurch, Shropshire
Harlequin Pub - Kettering, Northamptonshire
Bassets Pole - Sutton Coldfield
Scarisbrick Arms - Downholland, Ormskirk
Hope & Anchor - South Ferriby
Hartsholme Country Park Cafe - Skellingthorpe, Lincoln
Cherry Tree Farm Park - Glentham, Market Rasen
Victoria Bikers Pub - Coalville, Leicestershire
Southport Carousel - Southport
Rivington Barn - Horwich, Lancashire
Knott End Cafe - Knott-End-On-Sea, Lancashire
Darryls Cafe - Windermere, Lake District
Matlock Bath - Derbyshire
Hartside Cafe - Alston, Cumbria
Cat & Fiddle - Macclesfield Forest, Cheshire
and Lastly
The First & Last Inn - Sennen, Lands End
phew! as you can see I've manage to get about and clock up 12,000 miles in a year!
I'm still looking for places to visit - preferably with a good cup of tea and decent food at the end of a very twisty rainbow!
If you know of anywhere that's good, and can be reached via backroad mayhem - please let me know!

Thanks Willis1337,
Really appreciate the help, nothing beats local knowledge when it comes to Biking.
I'll check these places out pronto and do my reviews.
Thanks again! ____________________ www.BikeSwapShop.co.uk |

I should have asked this question sooner, then I could have organised a proper excursion to watch BSB at Brands Hatch and check out some of these venues!
Does BSB go to Brands twice? ____________________ www.BikeSwapShop.co.uk |

that is a major day in the saddle!
plus if you're doing it on motorways (yawn) - and only stopping for fuel thats some serious riding!
Best of Luck! oh if you're coming from Lands End up the A30 - please be careful speed wise -
there's an unmarked silver skoda that hangs around there -
he pulled me for doing 76 in a 60 mph zone (on a tuesday evening, in the dry, with no other vehicles in sight!) - boredom I expect!
Best of luck though!
I'm going to go to see BSB when they go back to Brands then and sort out a few days on the south coast!
thanks for that ____________________ www.BikeSwapShop.co.uk |
