When you see a 'deal' like a socket set for £9.99, take a reality check, 'cos that's exactly what you're going to get, a socket set worth £9.99. Contrary to what others have posted about these sets, they are absolute shite, taken from the very bottom of the dung pile. If you're serious about doing your own spanner work on your bike then show some commitment by buying tools of reasonable quality, they'll last for years if looked after, unlike this sort of crap. You don't have to spend a king's ransom and buy only Snapon, there are loads of quality tools on the market at reasonable prices.
Looking through the list of contents the last 18 pieces could go straight in the bin, liquorice hex keys and chocolate screwdriver bits, which leaves a ratchet that *will* spill it's guts the first time it's used in anger and sockets that will split with even moderate use.
As for the statement that it's ideal for the DIY enthusiast and Professional............no Pro would give up workshop space for junk like this. I make my living with tools so always look for quality when i buy anything, good tools will serve you well and the fact that you have paid good money for them will encourage you to look after them. |

I actually DO have these spanners and there not as shit as you might think!
The screwdriver bits are cack, the extension bar is only 2 inches long and the spark plug socket is only good for the bin .... BUT the sockets and the ratchet are really solid! There not as refined as some of the more expensive stuff, but they have been abused alot and even left outside in the rain overnight and they haven't even tarnished. There not particularly useful if you have intricate bolts or anything you can't get direct access too but they are definitely sturdy enough to do most strip jobs on the bike.
I did a direct comparison when trying to remove a corsa seat. My Dad's Snap On slipped and spun and wouldn't budge the bolt. These didn't slip once - But they did snap the head off the bolt
Don't write them off just because the're cheep, because they are actually quite good |

Hmmmm....
I do have some tinkering to do on the bike this weekend and I lost my ratcheting spanners down a well (don't ask) so coughing up a tenner for this is a no brainer really - even if they aren't quite as good as branded stuff it's not really breaking the bank.
It is half a tank of fuel though.... 70 miles of twisty turny mountainy rides...... ____________________ '10 Skyjet SJ125-23 - Crashed > '09 YBR 125 > '53 Suzuki SV650 - Died > 2010 Suzuki VanVan 125 > '87 Yamaha FZ750 Sold > VTR 1000 FireStorm - Sold > Honda CB1000R |

Buy Cheap tools then replace what you break with expensive stuff, there is no point spending 100's of ££ on sockets you will never use, 9mm and 11mm? who the fuck has ever used them? ____________________ Well, you know what they say. I bought 150 piece set from Halfords for less than 100 quid 2-3 years ago. I needed it not only for my bike but my car as well. I love it, but I haven't used 60% of the sockets yet |
