Moto 2 race starting now on Eurosport 2 then MotoGP after. Rossi was second fastest in warm up with Stoner in his own world again!

Couldn't watch any of it because of shitty Virgin making some channels fuzzy! If it was on Eurosport 1 then it would have been on HD and I could have watched it Evil or Very Mad

Good one, Branson!

You can watch them live on the BBC sport website.
Bloody good results for the brits so far! To be fair the results in the 125's were due to them being cautious and staying on while everyone else crashed, but that takes maturity and self control.
Smith is having an awesome year in moto2 so far. If Cal disappoints like i fully expect he will i can see smith getting that bike off him next season.
Cal might have a good race if things stay wet though. I guess you don't become a good british rider without learning how to ride in the rain Razz

Interesting race so far. Feel bad for Simoncelli, must have felt awful after that high side.

I imagine Stoner is very angry as well right now.

Gooooooooooooooooooo Spiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeesssss

EDIT:
Legend. Waited for the right spot and went for it. Fantastic, just waited for Pedrosa making a mistake.

Edit2: Epic fail. Maybe Pedrosa knew what he was doing, let Spies past and wait for him to lowside. Laughing

Rossi and Crutchlows best finishes this season despite them both crashing tells you all you need to know about the number of crashes in that race!

I laughed like a lunatic at the irony of Casey (fall off the track) Stoner. After a few seasons of falling off the Ducatti from losing the front end he gets taken out by his old bike losing the front end again.

I cheered when Ben Spies made it into 2nd place as he is part of my MCN fantasy league. I went to pee and returned with Ben holding his bike at the side of the road. I could have cried! For an instant I thought it was Lorenzo until I saw the front of the bike. Crying or Very sad

He's just pissed off that once the conditions weren't against Rossis shoulder he was right up there overtaking him. I think stoner was believing the hype about him being title favourite and thought he had a good chance this year. Him being in a position to be taken out by rossi show's that things might not be so easy, losing a shit load of points makes the title more work too.

I think so many people found themselves in a good position thinking they had adapted to the conditions, starting to pus a little to take advantage by getting a good result then BAM... in the gravel trap Very Happy

Cal is on a two year contract with Tech3, with the first year as a supposed learning year. So he would have to have an awful season to get sacked. But I think he will do ok, Probably behind all the factory bikes and the Gresini team but ahead of the rest of the satellite bikes

Entertaining race Thumbs Up I can't remember a GP race where there as been more overtaking though out the field. The graphics on the side of the screen were going crazy!
Not good for my fantasy team 0 points Sad

I think the moto2 race had a lot more over taking. De Angelis finished 7th after dropping back to 32nd with a ride through, so thats probably 20+ over takes from him alone. Iannone won it from 12th, West got to about 7th from starting 30th before dropping back. There was even a repeat of the rossi stoner incident complete with pit garage apology.
I really hope the change to 1000cc brings some more bikes in, then some of the nutters from moto2 are able to get a motoGP ride Very Happy

Sorry I meant Moto GP, I guess Moto 2 would always have more overtaking with so many more bikes on the grid.
Yeah would be good to get a few extra bikes when they change to 1000cc, maybe about 21-22 bikes would be good.
I think it may end up a two tier championship though a bit like F1 with a few teams at the back only really racing against each other.

They managed to get a good balance going with the 750/1000's in WSBK, same was true of the twins/fours, and now the 1200/1000. What i think would work well is only allowing teams with 1 bike to run a road bike based engine. that way all the manufacturers with their big budgets can still up their odds, but more teams to come in. Those that do well can become customer teams or run customer engines. Then it would go:
New road bike teams -> better road bike teams -> new customer teams -> older customer teams -> factory teams.
It would be a nice path of progression for riders and new teams.

Stoner made a bit of a fool of himself in the garages when Rossi went straight there to apologise but that's just comical, a sarcastic poke at the Duke front end would have been quite funny but evidently he didn't have the wit for that Neutral
