Hi

How about a reviews forum. An area to put a comments on a bike they have owned. Maybe limited so that no replies are allowed, and maybe with a moderator to collate reviews of the same bike into a single thread.

Any feelings on the matter?

All the best

Keith

How about a 'BCF newsletter'?

Errr, oops, distinct lack of enthusiasm for that Confused (though a few of us did actually write articles for it.)

An open/moderated forum probably would be a lot better way to garner intereste intitially.

Doesn't have to be just limited to bikes, which a lot of people have fairly limited expereience of, but clothing etc is also usefull.

Hi

Yes, maybe not just bikes. Only reason I thought about not having replies is because then you would not land up with long threads on something that was mainly for reference. Almost an FAQ forum for items rather than jobs.

All the best

Keith

Would agree with the no replies, or limited replies.

Maybe a 'moderated' forum where posts have to be approved first or something.

I might actually start compiling the FAQs into something usefull sometime soon Smile.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

OK, we will put it in terms of laps. As long as a lap of Three Sisters, of Donington or of the World?

All the best

I've re-christened the FAQ forum "Articles, Guides & FAQs" and restricted posting to mods. Hopefully people will post useful things in the submissions bit and they will be picked out by a moderator and placed in the FAQ forum.

Not of massive urgency, but could we have an extra symbol or something to say 'this thread has been added to the proper section' that mods can choose when they've edited and approved a thread.

If a new post is made then it gets rid of the symbol, so it's easy to tell which threads have been fully moved and which haven't.

For the moment I was thinking I'd just stick a number at the beggining of each thread done to say how many posts were in it when it was edited/moved done.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 20 years, 106 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
