decent looking sport bike with small engine needed

Hi

I am looking for a decent looking sport bike with small engine(dnt mind 600cc but the samller the better ..) , have seen honda cbr 125cc which has small engine but didnt like the look of it, to me it doesnt look like a real sport bike, its too small and fake ...

i am currently considering yamaha cbr 600cc which has a decent look.

i woundered if anyone knows of an alternative bike that has 600cc or smaller engine but looks sporty and decent.

You're post isn't very clear. Are you looking for a 125 or a 600? they're pretty damn different so you could do with clearing that up.

no look, what i mean by sport is the same shape as honda cbr 1000 .... that kind of shape ...

CBR600RR then, surely? There is a world of difference between a 125 and a 600 and the licenses to go with them. Add to that the cost of acquiring a derestricted license...

Do you just want to look cool on a sports styled bike?

Try looking for 400 sports bikes like an fzr400? a cbr125 would be very small, I think the yamaha 125 is bigger though.

Arrow Why does the bike have to look like a sports bike?

Arrow Have you looked at a Yamaha R125 which is a 125 (funnily enough)?

Arrow You are aware that the CBR600 is a Honda and not a Yamaha, and neither of those bikes have the letters 'cc' after their names?

and thatswhy i am looking for sport bike with small engine so I dnt have to go thru DAS training for unrestricted license, yes Im after the look mainly if I get decent looking sport bike that has 125cc then I can avoid DAS training etc..
am I correct in saying if I pass test on 125cc my licence eventually becomes fully unrestricted after 2 years?

In that case have a look at the YZF R125. Probably the closest you'll get to a large, sporty looking 125

You will either end up pootling around getting over taken by the blue rinse brigade in their Micras or smeared across the front of a Scania.

i passed cbt in day one, i already drive car and looks like i need less than 4 hours of studying for theory test !
i tried one of those online tests and got 40 out of 50 for motorbike in first attempt.. so im not as stupid as i sound! Wink

Depends on the power of said 125. It'll need to be rated to 62mph (ish), and have at least a certain amount of power.

If it's powerful enough you'll get a two year restriction. If not, you'll end up with a permanent restriction, which I suspect you don't want.... Shocked [/url]

Do you just want a bike solely to pose on then? Or do you actually enjoy riding a bike? If its the former, buy an R125 as Marjay suggests. Hugely expensive but hey, they look cool. If its the latter then do it properly, do DAS and get a CBR400/ZXR400R/NC30 or a sports 600.

To be honest if all you care about is what the bike looks like and you have no particular requirements in terms of performance or practicality or anything else, perhaps you should consider Harley-Davidson ownership?

if its powerfull enough I still get two year restrction? I thought there will be no restriction if I go thru DAS ( that means i be doing the training and test on 500cc bike not sure about the horse power).

of course i do, which is why im planning my future bike so I can plan my training ( DAS ) training and type of license that I need to sit for( i.e restricted ones or unrestricted ) , if I can get big sporty bike that has 125cc engine then I will avoid DAS training thats, the whole point of this thread ... if not I go ahead with DAS and spend couple of hundres quid on getting my license plus the fact that I will end up being raped for insurance and ....

cuz im intrested in sport bikes, I always wanted sported bike I do love them, I do have car for day to day living so Im only after some sexy sporty bike to show off and ride in summer

yes i seen yamaha r125 i think it slightly bigger than honda cbr 125 and alot more expensive, but it doesnt look like a decent sporty motor bike if you know what i mean ...
