Yo guys.

Had a search, and can't find anything about making a bit for a missing part of a fairing, just repairing cracks.

Long story short, i need to fix this.

The cracks are easy enough to repair with a bit of plastic welding, touch up paint, lacquer and a good polish, but the bit that's missing is needed to join to the side fairing.

Is the best way to do it to just build up a load of fiberglass and slap it on? Or is there a better way of sorting it?

If i could buy a new nose cone for a decent price, i would. But there's none on ebay and the cheapest i've found one is £250.

Also, need a new cone for the ram air intake... can't find one of them either.

Any ideas?

Cheers

You'd either have to make it out of fiberglass then shape it by eye (good luck!) or find some way to take a mould of what shape it should be and rebuild it from that. In both cases you'd be better off just buying a new one as they are both likely to be expensive time consuming frustrating failures.

I've made bits out of fiberglass before, mounts and lugs and stuff, it''s not easy even when working with a simple shape.
