£5 primer £5 paint, If your new colour is similar to the new colour don't bother with the primer.
£3 wet n dry.
If using the current colour as primer just rub down with 1000 till all is smooth, clean with rag.
Spray the new colour. Build the layers up in 10 minute intervals, each layer will gradually cover with new colour, (No one coat should fully cover when applying the final colour, build it up gradually, 1 thin coat at a time then wait 10 mins, apply another, 10 mins, apply another 10 mins apply another and so on.)
Allow to dry.
Rub down with 1000 grit, then 1200, then 1500, and finally the 2000. This should remove any heavier spots in the clear coat and will polish your painted product up very nicely.
Apply lacquer if you want too. |

£5 worth of paint will not cover a petrol tank, you don't mention laquer, being a petrol tank and like to get splashes of petrol on it it will look shit in days without some kind of protection. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. Skudd:- Perhaps she just thinks you are a window licker and is being nice just in case she becomes another Jill Dando.
WANTED:- Fujinon (Fuji) M42 (Screw on) lenses, let me know if you have anything. |
